The 4xC-Cell battery holder can be used as an alternative to the standard 4xAA battery holder.
In stock
A C-cell battery is larger than an AA or penlight battery. As a result, the C-cell can hold approximately 2.5 to 3 times more capacity than an AA battery, and a clock runs longer on a set of batteries.
For a small clock, it is important to check if there is enough space for this battery holder.
Dimensions (LxWxH): 120x54x24 mm
Cable length: approx. 10cm
Battery powered!
In addition to batteries, the pulse generator can also be connected to a fixed power supply. A generic USB adapter (phone charger) can also serve as a power supply via the USB connection (USB-C on the Volta and Ampère, micro-USB on older models up to and including version S3).
For details about the power supplies, see:

On time!
The pulse generator uses a crystal oscillator as a time base. The crystal is temperature-compensated and deviates a maximum of 4 seconds per month.
For each pulse generator, we adjust the internal time base as precisely as possible. However, after a few years, there may be some aging, which is why we use the four-second range as the bandwidth within which the deviation lies.
Changing the configuration
The basic configuration can be adjusted on the latest generation of pulse generators via the configuration menu.
- For example, need one pulse every 30 seconds instead of one pulse per minute? Follow the step-by-step guide pulse frequency to adjust:
Change pulse frequency base configuration
- Need longer or shorter pulses? Follow the step-by-step guide to set other pulse lengths as well:
Change pulse length base configuration
- Follow the step-by-step guide below to change the polarity (alternation) of the pulses:
