Pulse configuration
Running the pulse driver with a different pulse polarity
The step-by-step guide below changes one setting of the basic configuration.
In 5 steps , the pulse polarity is changed from its current value to alternating or non-alternating.
| Pulse polarity options |
Pulses |
| Alternating | Bipolar (alternating positive-negative) |
| Non-alternating | Unipolar |
Lost track halfway through the step-by-step guide? No problem: just disconnect the power supply and go back to the start!
This configuration can only be adjusted for pulse generators with version number S3. Do you own an S1 or S2? Then please contact us.
Starting up in test mode
Step 1
Disconnect the (battery) connector or USB.
Step 2
Hold down TIK and reconnect the power supply at the same time.
The pulse generator is now starting up in test mode, recognizable by:
- A pulse every second
- LED flashes in sync with the pulse
Proceed to configuration mode
Step 3
Set DIP switch to 2, 3, and 4 ON
Hold down TIK (for approx. 7 seconds) until the LED has flashed very rapidly for one second as confirmation.
The pulse generator is now in configuration mode, recognizable by:
- LED on with one short cyclical interruption
- No pulses
If the TIK button is not used for more than 30 seconds, the pulse generator will automatically configuration mode exit by restarting.
Set pulse polarity
Step 4
Set DIP switch: only 3 ON
(= selection: set pulse polarity)
Hold down TIK, until the LED has blinked very rapidly as confirmation.
- The LED remains on for a long time after this, with two short interruptions each time.
Step 5
Now choose one of these options and set the DIP switch accordingly.
| Alternating (bipolar) | Non-alternating (unipolar) |
| DIP switch: all OFF |
DIP switch: only 4 ON |
Hold down TIK, until the LED out / On / out go.
The new setting has now been saved. and the pulse generator restarts. From now on, the new pulse polarity will be used!
