Especially for clocks with a double pulse movement: separate control for the minutes (and hours) and for a seconds hand (or Suchzeiger).
- Clock without a seconds hand? Then choose the ‘regular’ Volta (12/24V) pulse driver
- Station clock with a seconds hand on 230V mains? Then also choose the regular Volta (12/24V) pulse driver
The 12/24V Min+Sec pulse driver provides adjustable 12-volt or 24-volt pulses. It can also run on batteries, but is less suitable for this.
- Including connection terminals
- Includes Velcro for mounting
- Includes battery box for 4x 1.5V AA batteries (batteries not included)

Suitable for electric slave clocks from CTW Siemens TN Moser Baer Favag and more...
- Choose between 12 or 24 volt pulses by means of a switch.
- Dual pulse output: one for minutes and one for seconds or Suchzeiger (2.5 sec)
- For one or two movements (double-sided clock)
- Power supply: DC jack and micro-USB connection.
The pulse generator is not radio-controlled and is therefore set manually. Pulses can be generated for this purpose using the button. Because it lacks time synchronization, summer and winter time are not automatically adjusted. The electronics on the pulse generator convert the low supply voltage into the higher pulse voltage of 12 or 24 volts.
Pulses
By default the 12/24V Min+Sec pulse driver is supplied with the following configuration, this is suitable for most 12/24V clocks:
- Pulse frequency MIN output: one pulse per minute
- Pulse Length: 150, 200, 250 or 300 milliseconds (medium)
- Pulse polarity: Alternating (bipolar)
For a clock with a Suchzeiger, select under pulse frequency an option with 2.5 seconds per pulse.
Station clock mode
In this mode, the second and minute hands do not step simultaneously on the full minute (second 0, or 60). In station clock mode, the second hand rotates rapidly in approximately 58 seconds, just like on a clock at a train station. After this, it pauses briefly at the top. After the minute pulse, the second hand begins a new rotation.
Battery operated?
With a second hand or Suchzeiger, the large number of pulses drains batteries very quickly. It is better to power it with, for example, a USB phone adapter.
Only minutes
The 12/24V Min+Sec pulse driver It can also work with the second pulses disabled. To do this, move DIP switch 2 down. Without second pulses, it would also work perfectly fine on batteries again!
Battery powered!
In addition to batteries, the pulse generator can also be connected to a fixed power supply. A generic USB adapter (phone charger) can also serve as a power supply via the USB connection (USB-C on the Volta and Ampère, micro-USB on older models up to and including version S3).

On time!
The pulse generator uses a crystal oscillator as a time base. The crystal is temperature-compensated and deviates a maximum of 4 seconds per month.
For each pulse generator, we adjust the internal time base as precisely as possible. However, after a few years, there may be some aging, which is why we use the four-second range as the bandwidth within which the deviation lies.
Changing the configuration
The basic configuration can be adjusted on the latest generation of pulse generators via the configuration menu.
- For example, need one pulse every 30 seconds instead of one pulse per minute? Follow the step-by-step guide pulse frequency to adjust:
Change pulse frequency base configuration
- Need longer or shorter pulses? Follow the step-by-step guide to set other pulse lengths as well:
Change pulse length base configuration
- Follow the step-by-step guide below to change the polarity (alternation) of the pulses:
